I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Our trip to Big Bear was cancelled so we had a relaxed Saturday. So far, 2014 has been great to us! One of my resolutions for this year is to finally get to work on my vintage furniture collection that I will be featuring for sale pretty soon. In New Year’s Eve I started working on this table that I found in a thrift store. It was in a horrible condition but I needed a coffee table ASAP and I fell in love with the shape and legs.
It stayed in my living room for almost 10 months without getting any work done. It had water marks and glitter all over. I believe the previous owners didn’t put a lot of attention to this beautiful piece. In part, I think I was afraid of refinishing this table and messing it up more. Fortunately, I found this awesome tutorial on The Brick House. The process they used was very easy to follow and the results were incredible.
Now I love my table even more! The water marks and glitter are completely gone. A few scratches and stains are still visible but I think this is what gives vintage furniture a part of its character. I’m sorry but this table stays with me!
I hope to get to the rest of my furniture soon and show you what will be for sale. Keep money saved in your pockets and be ready to do some vintage shopping!
